Singapore – Accenture and Google Cloud have established a 1,000-person forward deployed engineer (FDE) workforce as part of a new joint venture, the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group, according to the two companies.
The group, launched on 8 September 2026, is designed to help enterprise clients scale outcomes from Gemini Enterprise as agentic AI adoption accelerates globally.
Building on Accenture’s existing base of nearly 50,000 Google Cloud-skilled professionals, the new group brings together Gemini Enterprise-certified staff, forward deployed engineers, specialised Google Cloud engineering talent, and Accenture’s industry expertise, the companies said.
The partnership forms part of the wider Accenture Google Business Group and represents what both firms describe as a significant joint investment.
“The companies seeing the greatest outcomes from AI are unlocking new growth, increasing productivity and resilience, and creating better experiences for their customers and employees”, said Julie Sweet, Chair and CEO, Accenture.
“The Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group will help clients achieve these outcomes faster, bringing together the talent, advanced AI and data capabilities, and industry expertise needed to reinvent with confidence and create value at scale”, continued Sweet.
Echoing that sentiment, Google Cloud’s chief executive pointed to the urgency enterprises are placing on agentic AI deployment. “Deploying agentic AI is a top priority for enterprises today, and the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group significantly expands the expertise and resources available to help our customers deliver real business value”, said Thomas Kurian, CEO, Google Cloud.
“Building on the success we’ve seen with world’s leading brands, we’re combining Google Cloud’s full-stack AI capabilities with Accenture’s deep industry expertise to deliver transformation at scale”, Kurian added.
According to the companies, the group is intended to meet organisations wherever they are in their AI and data journeys, ranging from smaller, unit-level implementations through to full enterprise reinvention. As part of this shift, Accenture and Google Cloud said the business group will prioritise four key areas.
These include increasing adoption of Gemini Enterprise through proprietary accelerators and implementation frameworks built specifically for Gemini Enterprise deployments; developing repeatable, industry-specific solutions aimed at reducing time-to-value; establishing dedicated capability centres to bridge the gap between AI experimentation and enterprise-scale transformation; and driving user adoption of Gemini Enterprise-built capabilities at scale.
Turning to results already achieved, the companies cited YouTube as an early example of the partnership in action. YouTube worked with Accenture and Google Cloud to deploy a Gemini Enterprise agent during NFL Sunday Ticket surge demand, a move the companies said boosted customer sentiment by 11% and cut average handle time by 37%.
Commenting on the announcement, Yugal Joshi, Partner, Everest Group, said the move reflects a broader industry shift. “The formation of the Accenture Gemini Enterprise Business Group reflects an evolution in how leading service providers are structuring their commitment to Google Cloud AI delivery. Everest Group has recognised Accenture as a Leader in Google Cloud services, distinguished by its vision and capabilities to industrialise agentic AI at enterprise scale.”
“This new business group aims to respond directly to growing buyer demand for partners that can support AI-led growth and translate AI investments into production-grade outcomes. It also reflects a broader shift toward deeper, co-investment-driven partnerships as enterprises seek to scale AI transformation”, Joshi concluded.
