Singapore – Google Cloud has launched Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services and Gemini Enterprise for Legal, introducing industry-specific versions of its AI platform aimed at helping organisations deploy agentic workflows within regulated environments.
The two offerings are the first in a planned series of packaged industry solutions built on the Gemini Enterprise platform. According to Google Cloud, they combine domain-specific AI capabilities with data connectors, partner integrations and enterprise security and governance controls.
The company said the solutions are designed to keep customer data, business rules, intellectual property, custom agents, and model outputs private within an organisation. They also include features for risk management, audit logging and governance.
Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is designed to bring AI models together with financial data, enterprise systems and industry-specific controls.
One of its main components is a Financial Research agent, which Google Cloud said can automate research workflows and provide confidence scores, methodologies, data snapshots, and source citations. The agent includes more than 50 foundational skills and can be accessed through the Gemini Enterprise app or integrated into existing agent workflows through Agent-to-Agent APIs.
The platform also includes specialised skills for tasks such as credit risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, market news analysis and financial research.
Google Cloud said the financial services offering provides 13 integrations with licensed data sources, including CoinDesk Data & Indices, Daloopa, Dun & Bradstreet, FactSet, Finnhub, Fiscal.ai, Guidepoint, LSEG, Moody’s, MSCI, PitchBook, S&P Global and SEC Edgar.
It also provides access to third-party agents from Google Cloud’s partner ecosystem. These include tools for business verification, loan document processing, financial analysis, and energy and sustainability research.
“Financial professionals are looking for an AI platform that doesn’t lock them into any one model or ecosystem, connects to the IT systems they use every day, and is highly secure and compliant,” said Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud.
“With Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services, we are delivering exactly that—agentic capabilities for financial workflows, built with verifiable data explainability, so institutions can turn AI innovation into a confident competitive advantage,” he continued.
Google Cloud said Gemini Enterprise for Financial Services is already being used by financial institutions including CME Group and Deutsche Bank. It added that BNY, Citi Wealth, Lloyds Banking Group, Macquarie Bank and Signal Iduna are among other financial organisations using Gemini Enterprise.
Meanwhile, Gemini Enterprise for Legal is designed around the confidentiality, data isolation and governance requirements associated with legal work.
The offering includes specialised skills for legal agents covering areas such as legal brief drafting, citation verification, contract lifecycle management, regulatory monitoring, and data subject access requests.
It also provides Model Context Protocol integrations with legal technology platforms including Docusign, Everlaw, Harvey, iManage, Legora, NetDocuments, RelativityOne, Solve Intelligence and Thomson Reuters.
Google Cloud said the platform can inherit a law firm’s ethical walls through secure connections to document and matter management systems. It added that research outputs are grounded in primary legal authority, while organisational data, client files, playbooks and negotiated positions remain within the organisation’s private environment.
The company is also working with legal technology providers, consulting firms and systems integrators including Accenture, Deloitte, Devoteam, Eudia, Factor Law, KPMG, Tribe AI, Valtech, Zazmic, Zencore, and 66degrees.
“With agentic AI, legal professionals have the ability to research across historical case law, build complex arguments, and automate mundane tasks that can provide enormous value to their clients. However, ensuring every aspect of these agentic workflows is accurate, factual, and grounded in legal authority is of critical importance,” Kurian said.
“Gemini Enterprise for Legal helps manage the complex realities of modern legal work, while simultaneously providing critical grounding and governance capabilities that allow teams to confidently focus on strategic counsel,” he continued.
The launches form part of Google Cloud’s broader push to develop industry-specific applications for generative and agentic AI, with financial services and legal among the first sectors to receive dedicated versions of Gemini Enterprise.
