Bengaluru, India – Infosys is to embed generative and agentic AI across ABN AMRO‘s technology estate after the two companies extended their strategic collaboration, the Indian IT services provider announced on 30 September.
Under the renewed arrangement, Infosys will deliver application development, testing and support services to simplify and modernise the Dutch bank’s IT landscape. According to the companies, the work also aims to improve operational efficiency and scalability while enabling greater innovation.
The collaboration centres on Infosys Topaz, which Infosys describes as an AI-first set of offerings built on generative and agentic AI technologies. Infosys says it will use the platform to help ABN AMRO embed AI more deeply and turn data into insight-driven innovations.
Furthermore, the partnership seeks to move the bank beyond isolated AI initiatives towards enterprise-wide adoption. Infosys says the focus is on unlocking AI value at scale.
Infosys also plans to streamline platforms, improve agility and strengthen the delivery of digital services across the enterprise. The company says this will bring faster value realisation.
In addition, Infosys will draw on its global engineering talent and alternative delivery models. It says this will support sustained efficiency gains while building a scalable, secure and future-ready IT foundation.
Carsten Bittner, Chief Innovation and Technology Officer at ABN AMRO Bank, said, “The renewed collaboration with Infosys will help further to simplify and modernise our IT landscape, while accelerating the responsible adoption of AI across the company. This engagement will enhance operational efficiency, deliver greater customer value, and help reduce complexity and operating costs.”
Jay Nair, EVP, Industry Head, Financial Service and Public Sector, Infosys, said, “This renewal marks an important milestone in our relationship with ABN AMRO and underscores the trust placed in Infosys.”
“We are bringing together deep domain expertise, a resilient global delivery model, and the power of Infosys Topaz to help re-architect core systems, simplify complex IT landscapes, and operationalise AI in a purposeful way. Our focus is not just on transformation at scale, but on delivering it with precision, efficiency, and long-term sustainability for the bank,” Nair added.
Infosys, which is listed on the NSE, BSE and NYSE, describes itself as a global leader in AI-first business consulting and technology services. ABN AMRO is one of the largest banks in the Netherlands, and the companies did not disclose financial terms in the announcement.
