Singapore – Informatica, an AI-powered enterprise cloud data management firm, has recently appointed Krish Vitaldevara as the company’s new executive vice president and chief product officer.

In this role, Vitaldevara will develop and execute a product strategy aligning with business objectives and use emerging technologies such as AI to innovate and improve offerings.

His focus will further be on customer engagement, market expansion, and strategic partnerships, utilising AI-powered, data-driven decision-making to improve product quality and performance, all within a collaborative leadership framework.

Vitaldevara will be part of the company’s executive committee, bringing with him extensive experience from Microsoft, Google and NetApp.

According to the firm, Vitaldevara will help propel Informatica into its next stage of innovation and growth given his experience as senior vice president and general manager at NetApp. In it, he successfully led a team of 2,000+ professionals in product management, design, and engineering.

Also under his leadership, an AI strategy was executed that not only modernised NetApp’s product portfolio but also strengthened solutions for Fortune 500 companies while advancing on-prem and hybrid cloud capabilities.

Vitaldevara is a recognised innovator, holding more than 30 patents. This underscores his commitment to advancing technology and innovation and driving industry evolution.

Amit Walia, chief executive officer at Informatica, said, “I’m thrilled to have Krish join the team to help bring our vision for the future of AI-powered data management to life. I am confident that Krish’s leadership, combined with Informatica’s continued excellence in AI-powered data management, will elevate our capabilities and empower our customers to catalyse innovation and drive growth.”

Commenting about his appointment, Vitaldevara said, “I am excited to join Informatica at such a pivotal time in the technology landscape. Together, we will drive innovation, leverage data-driven insights and enhance our product offerings to empower our clients with cutting-edge AI capabilities and cloud solutions.”

“I look forward to collaborating with the exceptional teams to further elevate our impact on the industry,” he added.

Earlier this year, the company added Bala Kumaresan as its executive vice president and global head of engineering, where his responsibilities include enhancing the strength of Informatica’s product leadership team.

With a strong background in multi-cloud enterprise cloud data management and previous key roles at Informatica, Symantec, Oracle, and F5, Kumaresan brings valuable experience and innovative insights to elevate Informatica’s solutions.

His dedication to engineering excellence is instrumental in maintaining Informatica’s market leadership and empowering our customers with cutting-edge AI and cloud data management solutions.
