Industry veteran Mark Bishof to lead Medallia as new chairman, CEO

Singapore – Medallia Inc., a customer and employee experience firm, has recently appointed Mark Bishof as the company’s new chairman and chief executive officer. He succeeds Thoma Bravo’s operating partner Mike Lipps, who will continue to serve the company as a board member.

In this capacity, Bishof brings more than four decades of experience in leading private and public software companies, along with extensive industry expertise from his tenure as chief business officer at Qualtrics and CEO at Clarabridge.

His most recent role includes being the strategic advisor and chief business officer at Qualtrics, following its acquisition of Clarabridge. He then led Clarabridge’s transformation from a text analytics company specialising in customer experience to a leader in conversational AI. 

Prior to the said role, he was also CEO of Flexera Software and held leadership positions at Macrovision, IBM, Crossworlds Software, and Deloitte Consulting.

Aside from Bishof’s appointment, the company also named Sid Banerjee as the chief strategy officer. Banerjee, the former founder of Clarabridge, has been a leader in customer experience technology innovation for more than 20 years. This role enables him to spearhead Medallia’s AI innovation initiatives and work closely with clients to advance organisational transformation.

Additionally, Medallia has strengthened its leadership team with key appointments involving (1) Bas Brukx as the new chief financial officer; (2) Ram Ramachandran as chief transformation officer; (3) Karl Knoll being appointed as a general counsel; and lastly, (4) appointing Jamie Hunter as chief of staff and head of corporate development

Commenting about his appointment, Bishof said, “I am honoured and excited to lead Medallia, a true pioneer with a vast history and depth of personalised enterprise experience data.
