Singapore – Meta has launched Meta Enterprise Platform, a new business pillar that will package the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) technology for businesses and developers.
The company announced the move in a post on its newsroom blog on 28 September 2026, carrying statements from Founder and Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg and incoming Chief Enterprise Platform Officer Chirantan “CJ” Desai.
In the first phase, Meta will focus on bringing its full technology stack to businesses and developers. That stack includes the Muse agent, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code, according to the post.
Zuckerberg framed the launch as an extension of Meta’s existing commercial reach. “Today we are starting the next major pillar of our business, Meta Enterprise Platform, to help businesses use AI to grow and transform in new ways as well,” he said.
He also pointed to the company’s scale, noting that Meta already serves billions of people and helps hundreds of millions of businesses reach customers.
On the technology behind the platform, Zuckerberg said, “Meta Enterprise Platform will use our strengths that few other companies have: advanced models, leading agents, large-scale infrastructure, and years of working closely with many businesses.”
Alongside the launch, Meta named Desai to lead the effort. He will report directly to Zuckerberg.
Desai joins from MongoDB, where he served as CEO and President. Previously, he led product and engineering at Cloudflare and spent nearly eight years at ServiceNow, including as President and COO.
Zuckerberg said, “CJ is an experienced enterprise leader with a track record of building full-stack software and delivering results in AI, infrastructure, business applications, and security.”
Desai, in turn, set out his view of where enterprise AI is heading. “Over the coming years, AI will fundamentally redefine how organisations of all sizes innovate, grow, serve customers, and run business operations.”
He argued that Meta is well placed to serve that demand. “Meta has a unique role to play because it is bringing together advanced models and leading agents with a proven track record of helping millions of advertisers and hundreds of millions of businesses scale.”
Turning to product strategy, Desai said, “Meta Enterprise Platform will focus on turning its AI stack into products and services that companies can deploy for their own businesses.”
He added that security and privacy are central to that approach, stating that “security and privacy are built into Meta’s enterprise products from the outset.” The post links this commitment to Meta’s earlier published approach to security and safety for AI agents with Muse.
Desai closed his statement with a broader ambition. “Our goal is to make Meta the place enterprises come to scale their businesses.”
