Jakarta, Indonesia – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, a digital telecommunications firm, has announced that it has recently formed a strategic agreement with AI-native business transformation firm AlonOS. This collaboration is aimed at transforming businesses into AI-native enterprises through the AI3 initiative (Artificial Intelligence for Indonesia by Indosat).

As part of the agreement, the partnership also brings a suite of solutions, including Sovereign AI, which offers AI solutions with a plug-and-play platform based on a resilient digital infrastructure. This solution intends to transform priority sectors, such as Indonesia’s ed-tech industry.

It also offers industry-specific solutions with integrated AI offerings tailored for domain-specific needs. Aviation Enterprise AI, for instance, utilises the power of AI to enhance ancillary revenue and optimise operations while also improving the customer experience.

In addition, the said collaboration provides a range of solutions intended to accelerate and scale the existing capabilities of the firm with advanced AI use cases. Among its key areas of focus are robust fraud prevention and identity solutions to create a secure digital ecosystem for Indonesia.

Other focus areas further encompass privacy-focused marketing technology solutions to enable Indonesian businesses to deliver secure and personalised digital experiences.

Talking about the collaboration, Vikram Sinha, president, director, and CEO at Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison, shared, “This strategic partnership with AIonOS is a pivotal step in advancing Indonesia’s AI sovereignty and Indosat’s larger purpose of empowering Indonesia. By integrating cutting-edge AI solutions into our digital infrastructure, we are not only enhancing our technological capabilities but also ensuring that Indonesia remains at the forefront of global AI innovation.”

“Our goal is to harness the power of AI to drive sustainable growth, secure digital ecosystems, and ultimately improve the quality of life for every Indonesian,” he added.

C.P. Gurnani, executive vice chairman at AIonOS, also stated, “The future is now, and it needs groundbreaking partnerships at scale. Indosat’s visionary approach for Indonesia, paired with AIonOS’ dedication to building AI-native solutions, will deliver innovative technologies that empower enterprises to achieve rapid and sustainable growth.”

Meanwhile, Rahul Bhatia, group managing director at InterGlobe Enterprises, said, “In a rapidly evolving world, it is essential for businesses to innovate continuously, focusing on developing solutions with a broader vision to transform and empower industries. Using AI effectively is crucial to this transformation, and this partnership is a strategic move in this direction.”
