Singapore – Cohesity, an AI-powered data security firm, has recently announced the company’s new cyber orchestration solution powered by artificial intelligence. This new solution, titled RecoveryAgent, is designed specifically for Cohesity NetBackup and DataProtect customers.

With RecoveryAgent, the company automates cyber recovery preparation, testing, compliance, and response, allowing customers to recover from cyber incidents faster.

Said solution further provides intelligent, customisable recovery blueprints and enables rigorous testing of recovery processes in a non-production environment. It also offers customers more confidence in their ability to respond to proliferating cyberattacks.

When it comes to cyber recovery, RecoveryAgent also addresses the challenge in the modern IT environment with complex physical, virtual, and cloud-based systems.

In particular, the solution generates customisable blueprints that automate recovery workflows, making cyber recovery response more efficient and adaptable.

Meanwhile, RecoveryAgent’s intuitive interface enables teams to effortlessly create recovery plans, complete with scripted workflows that incorporate essential incident response steps like threat hunting, malware scanning, and instant data restoration.

With this, users can now rehearse recoveries to prove the blueprint will effectively recover their data in a non-production environment without impacting production applications.

Moreover, this new solution encompasses several benefits for recovery teams, such as creating and editing recovery blueprints with AI assistance, managing granular recovery across multiple domains in complex hybrid environments, and accelerating forensic investigations through automated threat scanning using native tools and threat intelligence.

Aside from these advantages, it also allows teams to utilise agentic AI-powered intelligent recovery point recommendations and radius analysis of infected files across domains, as well as understand the real-world recovery times and how they align with the business SLAs. Said move further ensures and demonstrates compliance with regulatory and business drivers by implementing standard recovery practices.

Vasu Murthy, chief product officer at Cohesity, said, “Every moment matters to customers experiencing a cyber incident. Having a comprehensive and thoroughly tested incident response plan can be the difference between minimal disruption and massive impact.”

“By simplifying and automating every step of the complex cyber recovery process, RecoveryAgent helps customers boost resilience and respond faster with more confidence to cyber incidents. The world’s largest organisations trust Cohesity because we understand the impact of cyber incidents and consistently offer new solutions like RecoveryAgent to help our customers be more confident in their cyber readiness and recovery,” Murthy further explained.

Also speaking about the new solution, Lim Hsin Yin, Vice President of Sales – ASEAN at Cohesity, remarked, “Cyber incidents are now a matter of ‘when”, not ‘if, and ensuring our customers’ cyber resilience is our top priority. With RecoveryAgent, the new AI-powered orchestration solution enabled by integrating the technologies from both Cohesity and Veritas, Cohesity will help organisations to recover from cyber incidents faster with greater cyber readiness and confidence.”

Additionally, RecoveryAgent streamlines cyber recovery by automating manual tasks like vulnerability scanning, malware detection, and data classification into structured recovery blueprints.

It also supports automated forensics, configuration hardening, and patching on virtual machines recovered within the platform.

According to Cohesity, said capabilities are powered by Cohesity’s Data Security Alliance, which integrates with leading security vendors to help security teams become more agile and productive. RecoveryAgent enhances Cohesity’s existing clean room solution, allowing activation to be faster and more intuitive.

“AntemetA has a complex technology infrastructure, and as a result, we need solutions developed with extensive field experience to enable us to be as effective as possible, especially as we are exposed to increasing amounts of cyber risks,” said Stéphane Colin, CTO, AntemetA.

She further continued, “This is only possible with trusted partners who take time to understand our unique complexity and work with us to ensure our data can be recovered with confidence and our services guarantee the highest level of resilience, whatever cyber challenges we face.

“We have a longstanding partnership with Cohesity because it continues to develop solutions like RecoveryAgent, which help us deliver more relevant and effective services. That, in turn, has earned us an equally long-lasting trust from our customers,” noted Colin.

RecoveryAgent is the first new offering to emerge from the joint development efforts of Cohesity and Veritas since the companies came together in December. It combines NetBackup Recovery Blueprints and Recommended Recovery Points capabilities with AI-powered intelligence and innovation native to DataProtect.

Moreover, this new solution emphasises the company’s commitment to simplifying user experiences and enhancing customer confidence in cyber resilience strategies.
