Singapore – Vouch, a hospital automation and digital interactions firm, has recently announced it is powering Singapore’s first MRT carriage hotel, launched by Train Pod.

Train Pod is a hotel model that transforms decommissioned MRT train carriages into modern micro-accommodation spaces. It provides a seamless, fully automated guest experience using Vouch’s advanced tech suite, which enables guests to enjoy a convenient, contactless stay.

With this solution, guests can check in within minutes using an advanced self-check-in system with integrated facial recognition. This approach ensures secure identity verification and full compliance with Singapore’s EVA standards.

Along with this feature is a 24/7 multilingual AI assistant, offering instant support for everything from amenities to local tips with no staff required. This added feature provides reliable responses to guest enquiries in their preferred language, further enhancing guest convenience.

As it operates on a fully autonomous model, Train Pod also reduces operating costs while scaling a unique and innovative hospitality concept. This is made possible by Vouch’s advanced automation systems that cut staffing needs and optimise operations.

Guests, in particular, can gain access to a seamless and reliable experience with intuitively designed technologies. These technologies are easy to use and thoughtfully crafted to meet the needs of all types of guests, ensuring convenience and satisfaction throughout their stay.

With this endeavour, Joseph Ling, founder and CEO at Vouch, said, “The future of hospitality isn’t about clinging to tradition but challenging it. By blending a deep understanding of the industry with the limitless potential of technology, businesses can strike a perfect balance between operational excellence and delivering truly innovative guest experiences.”

Train Pod’s design repurposes a retired MRT carriage into eight compact yet comfortable pods, offering budget-conscious urban travellers a peaceful place to rest. The entire guest journey is managed through Vouch’s digital platform.
