Jakarta, Indonesia – Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison (Indosat) has launched Zankore by Indosat, a new AI infrastructure platform developed in collaboration with Ooredoo Group, Nokia, and NVIDIA, with plans to establish one of Southeast Asia’s largest AI infrastructure platforms.
The initiative aims to address growing regional demand for secure and scalable AI computing while supporting Indonesia’s ambitions to become a regional AI hub. The partners are targeting the deployment of 1 gigawatt (GW) of NVIDIA DSX AI Factory capacity, which they said will support enterprise AI and agentic AI adoption across the region.
According to the companies, the platform will use NVIDIA DSX, an AI factory reference architecture that integrates accelerated computing, networking, power, cooling, and operations into a unified system. The first phase is expected to deliver approximately 200 megawatts (MW) of AI capacity in the first half of 2027, powered by NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 systems.
The platform will also incorporate NVIDIA DSX MaxLPS, a technology designed to optimise GPU power allocation. The companies said the system can enable up to 40% more compute capacity within the same power budget by recovering unused power resources.
Indonesia’s Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs, Meutya Hafid, said the initiative aligns with the country’s digital ambitions.

The partnership assigns different roles to each participant. Ooredoo Group will provide long-term capital as lead investor and platform sponsor, while Indosat contributes its telecommunications infrastructure and local market presence. NVIDIA will supply accelerated computing technologies, AI software, GPU access, and ecosystem support, while Nokia will provide AI-native networking technologies for the platform.

To oversee the platform’s expansion, Zankore by Indosat has established a board of directors comprising representatives from Ooredoo Group and Indosat, along with independent leadership. The board includes Aziz Aluthman Fakhroo and Thomas Chevanne representing Ooredoo Group, Vikram Sinha and Vishal Gupta representing Indosat, independent director Arijit Ranjan Sarker, and Chief Executive Officer Ulf Ewaldsson.
The companies said the platform is intended to serve hyperscalers, enterprises, governments, and AI developers across Southeast Asia.
Citi served as exclusive financial adviser to Indosat for the transaction, while FTI Capital Advisors acted as financial adviser to Ooredoo Group.
