Yamaha Motor chooses Informatica AI to enhance global data management

Iwata, Japan – Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd., a global transportation equipment manufacturer, has selected Informatica’s AI-powered Master Data Management (MDM) solution to support its digital transformation strategy and strengthen operational efficiency across international business units.

The company has faced challenges in managing extensive and complex data sets across different regions, with siloed systems and varying enterprise resource planning (ERP) standards limiting its ability to share consistent data. This lack of harmonisation has impacted both operational productivity and the effectiveness of business processes worldwide.

To address these issues, Yamaha Motor is implementing Informatica’s multidomain MDM software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, powered by its CLAIRE AI engine.

“Informatica MDM helps Yamaha Motor create an interface platform that seamlessly connects each region’s ERP systems with our proprietary scratch systems, enabling trusted master data management at a global scale,” Toyoto Ono, chief general manager of IT centre at Yamaha Motor Co. Ltd., explained.

He added, “It represents a vital step in establishing a robust foundation to support our sustainable business growth and strengthen organisational resilience.”

The platform is designed to unify data from multiple ERP and business systems, enabling streamlined integration, standardisation and automation of cross-domain data assets. This creates a centralised and contextualised view of information that supports higher levels of accuracy, consistency and data quality.

The initiative is expected to enhance decision-making, forecasting and reporting by enabling a global interface platform that connects regional ERP systems with Yamaha Motor’s proprietary systems.

“We are very pleased to partner with Yamaha Motor as they modernise their global data management infrastructure,” Taito Kozawa, country manager and vice president of Informatica Japan, commented.

“Together, we are supporting their goal to strengthen data-driven decision-making and accelerate AI and digital transformation. We remain committed to working with our customers to help them realise meaningful business values through our AI-powered platform and capabilities.”

It also aims to improve productivity and reduce costs through more effective ERP system deployment and maintenance, while providing a stronger foundation for sustainable growth and resilience.

By adopting Informatica’s AI-powered data management capabilities, Yamaha Motor is laying the groundwork for accelerated digital transformation and stronger data-driven insights across its global operations.
