India – Truecaller has launched Post-Call Actions, a new enterprise capability that lets consumers complete tasks such as rescheduling deliveries, paying bills, or finishing pending requests the moment a verified business call ends, the company announced on 7 September in Bengaluru, India.
The feature is rolling out first to last-mile delivery companies, a category the company describes as high-intent. According to Truecaller, customisable use cases for the banking, financial services, and insurance sector will follow.
Post-Call Actions are designed to remove the gap between a business call ending and a customer actually resolving their query. Rather than a call closing with a promise to “send a link,” the company says the interaction now ends with the task itself being completed.
The mechanism works by surfacing a branded action card within the Truecaller app the instant a verified business call ends. From there, the company says, the next step is a single tap away, with no app download, no link to locate, and no queue to join.
For delivery services, Truecaller points to a familiar pain point: calls that arrive while a customer is at work or commuting, making them impossible to answer, with the delivery slot often gone by the time the call is returned. Even when the call is picked up, customers frequently have to repeat the same instructions to a different agent each time, according to the company.
With Post-Call Actions live, Truecaller says customers can instead reschedule a delivery, confirm their availability, share a precise location, or authorise a safe drop, all directly within the app.
For banking, financial services, and insurance customers, the company frames the stakes as higher still, given that a call purporting to be from a bank could be genuine or an impersonation attempt. Truecaller says that because Post-Call Actions only appear following Verified Business calls, customers can act on the resulting prompt with confidence rather than uncertainty.
From that verified screen, the company says customers will be able to pay dues, request a callback, complete a pending KYC step, or confirm a transaction, without needing to locate a link of uncertain origin, at a moment when the company describes impersonation fraud as being at an all-time high.
The feature also reframes how businesses measure call outcomes, according to Truecaller. Where call performance has traditionally been judged by pick-up rates, the company says it can now be assessed by whether the underlying issue was actually resolved.
That follow-through, Truecaller says, now happens within the same trusted moment and on the same screen, rather than being lost across SMS links, app download prompts, and abandoned IVR queues.
“A phone call has been the most human way for a business to communicate with customers. But it usually ends with homework for them,” said Priyam Bose, Global Head, GTM, Truecaller for Business.
“Post-Call Actions resolve this. The delivery gets rescheduled, the bill gets paid, the KYC gets done, all in the same trusted moment, on the same screen, irrespective of the calls getting picked up or unanswered”, Bose concluded.
Truecaller positions the launch as an early step in a broader rollout, with banking, financial services, and insurance use cases expected to expand the capability’s reach in the coming months.
