Thrive names Joe Mercurio as Chief Revenue Officer to lead global growth strategy

United States – Technology outsourcing provider Thrive has appointed Joe Mercurio as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), as the company continues to expand its global business and strengthen its portfolio of AI, cybersecurity, cloud, and managed IT services.

In his new role, Mercurio will oversee Thrive’s global revenue strategy, including sales, customer success, channel partnerships, and go-to-market initiatives. The company said the appointment supports its efforts to help organisations manage increasingly complex IT environments while advancing their digital transformation initiatives.

Mercurio brings more than two decades of enterprise technology sales leadership experience. He most recently served as chief revenue officer at ConnectWise, where he led the company’s global revenue organisation. Before that, he was senior vice president of sales and channel at Mimecast, overseeing sales performance and partner engagement. His previous leadership roles also include positions at Dell, EMC, and RSA Security.

Thrive said the appointment comes as it continues to expand its global presence, enhance its cybersecurity, cloud, and AI offerings, and integrate strategic acquisitions aimed at broadening its technical capabilities and customer services.

“We’ve built Thrive by focusing on expertise, customer outcomes, and long-term value creation,” said Bill McLaughlin, CEO of Thrive. “As we continue expanding our capabilities and helping customers navigate increasingly complex technology environments, Joe’s experience building high-performing revenue organisations will be instrumental. He understands how to scale growth while maintaining the customer focus and operational excellence that have defined Thrive from the beginning.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mercurio said organisations are increasingly looking for strategic technology partners rather than traditional service providers.

“Organisations today need more than a service provider. They need a trusted strategic partner that can help them manage risk, modernise operations, and take advantage of emerging technologies,” said Mercurio. “Thrive has established itself as that partner for customers across industries by combining deep technical expertise with a relentless focus on business outcomes. I look forward to building on that momentum and helping more organisations realise the value of Thrive’s approach.”
