SingPost, SkyNet form exclusive e-commerce technology partnership, strengthening cross-border logistics in Singapore

Singapore – Singapore Post Limited and SkyNet Worldwide Express have entered into an exclusive strategic partnership in Singapore aimed at advancing the technology underpinning cross-border express and e-commerce logistics across the APAC region.

From 1 January 2026, Singapore Post becomes SkyNet Worldwide Express’s sole partner in Singapore, taking responsibility for the local representation of the SkyNet brand and the delivery of its international express and e-commerce services. The arrangement centres on deeper systems integration and shared infrastructure designed to improve the efficiency, visibility and scalability of cross-border online commerce.

A core element of the partnership is the use of Singapore Post’s Airmail Transit Centre as a customs-bonded transhipment hub, enabling faster regional and international movement of parcels. This facility is positioned as a technology-enabled gateway for high-volume e-commerce flows, supporting streamlined customs processing and improved transit times for shipments moving through Singapore.

“This partnership is a significant step forward in enhancing our express and e-commerce services,” Neo Su Yin, chief operating officer, Singapore Post Limited, commented.

“By combining our comprehensive delivery network with SkyNet’s global reach, we are delivering even greater value and convenience to all our clients in APAC.”

The collaboration also provides SkyNet customers with access to a single digital platform connected to more than 180 global destinations, allowing merchants and logistics providers to operate through existing integrations without additional system complexity. This unified technology framework is intended to simplify cross-border shipping operations while improving tracking, data visibility and service consistency across markets.

“By joining forces exclusively with SingPost, we are plugging our international reach into a team that truly knows every corner of Singapore,” Chaminda Gunasekera, managing director of Asia at SkyNet Worldwide Express, stated.

“Together, we are working as one team to open up faster, better opportunities for express and e-commerce clients throughout the region.”

Additional capabilities introduced through the partnership include technology-supported Delivered Duty Paid services to reduce friction in international transactions, as well as dedicated facilities for returns management, quality control and e-fulfilment.

These features are designed to help online retailers manage reverse logistics and order fulfilment more efficiently, improving the overall experience for end consumers in regional and global e-commerce markets.

By combining SkyNet’s international express network with Singapore Post’s digitally enabled logistics infrastructure and local delivery systems, the partnership seeks to strengthen Singapore’s role as a regional e-commerce logistics hub.

The focus on integrated platforms, bonded transit facilities and end-to-end fulfilment technology reflects growing demand for faster, more predictable and data-driven cross-border e-commerce services in the APAC region.
