Singapore – Salesforce has introduced new artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for its Salesforce Suites and launched Slack CRM for small businesses in Singapore, aiming to help small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) streamline customer relationship management and reduce administrative work.
The announcement comes as Singapore SMEs continue to face challenges in adopting new technologies. According to the Singapore Business Federation’s National Business Survey, the cost of adoption and limited in-house expertise remain among the main barriers to technology adoption. Salesforce said AI can help SMEs improve productivity and operational efficiency while providing tools that are easier to deploy and use.
The company has integrated Agentforce into Salesforce Suites, its CRM platform for small businesses and startups. The AI features are available across the Free, Starter, and Pro Suites without additional setup or cost. Businesses can use the capabilities to summarise customer records, draft personalised emails, and review customer activity from within the CRM platform.
Customers using the Starter and Pro Suites can also activate the Employee Agent, an AI assistant designed to provide contextual information, draft communications, and log activities using conversational commands.
According to Salesforce, the AI features are intended to help users prepare for customer meetings with automatically generated summaries, create personalised follow-up emails based on customer information and business context, and reduce manual administrative tasks by automatically updating records and logging activities.
The AI capabilities are powered by Agentforce 360, Salesforce’s platform that connects AI with customer data and workflows across sales, service, marketing, and Slack. Salesforce said the platform is designed to scale alongside businesses as they grow and adopt more advanced AI capabilities.
The company also said Agentforce incorporates security and governance controls intended to help businesses keep customer data within Salesforce rather than relying on external AI applications.
Alongside the AI enhancements, Salesforce introduced Slack CRM, which brings customer relationship management functions directly into Slack. The solution enables users to create and update contacts, track leads and sales opportunities, and log customer activities within Slack conversations using Slackbot.
Salesforce said Slack CRM is built on the Salesforce platform, allowing businesses to begin with basic CRM functions in Slack before expanding to more advanced Salesforce capabilities without migrating their data.
Commenting on the launch, Vernon Cheo, Head of Emerging Small and Medium Business, Salesforce ASEAN said, “SMBs are the backbone of Singapore’s economy. Agentic AI provides these organisations the means to make exponential impact without the time and effort typically required for enterprise-scale transformation. This is a pivotal moment for SMBs to carve their competitive niche.”
Phil Hassey, CEO, CapioIT added, “Across ASEAN, SMBs need technology that drives their growth whilst being flexible enough to meet local market and customer expectations. This requires intelligent, connected solutions that feed directly into workflows, enabling speed and simplicity.”
