Singapore – New Relic has appointed Simon Rizkalla as vice president of customer advocacy for Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ). He will be based in Singapore and is responsible for strengthening customer engagement and driving the adoption of New Relic’s observability solutions across the region.
In his new role, Simon will work closely with customers to enhance their observability strategies, support operational efficiency, and help organisations achieve stronger performance outcomes through New Relic’s Intelligent Observability platform.
Simon brings more than 25 years of experience in enterprise software, artificial intelligence, and digital infrastructure to the position. Before joining New Relic, he was the co-founder and chief executive officer of HybridAI. His career also includes senior leadership and sales roles at Cisco, Red Hat, and Alcatel-Lucent, where he managed business operations and strategic growth initiatives across Asia-Pacific markets.
“I couldn’t be more excited to join the team and help customers realise what they can achieve with our platform,” Simon commented.
He added, “Observability is far beyond an operational hygiene practice. It’s a strategic capability central to how companies manage risk, ensure reliability, innovate with AI, optimise costs, and comply with regulation.”
New Relic’s platform is designed to help enterprises minimise digital disruptions and optimise reliability. According to the company’s 2025 Observability Forecast for Asia-Pacific, organisations in the region are increasingly investing in observability to support artificial intelligence projects, reduce service interruptions, and improve overall business results.
“Asia Pacific is a critical growth region for New Relic, and the experience Simon holds–particularly within the Asia Pacific observability space–makes him a perfect fit for the role,” Rob Newell, senior vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific and Japan at New Relic, commented.
“I have no doubt that Simon’s passion for leading high performing teams, coupled with his ethos of making customer success the heart of everything he does, will take our team and customers to new heights.”
The appointment underscores New Relic’s commitment to expanding its presence in Asia-Pacific and Japan, a region identified as a key driver of growth for the company.
