Singapore – Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. and QuikBot Technologies Pte. Ltd. have signed a strategic collaboration agreement to develop trust infrastructure for Physical AI across Singapore’s built environment, the companies announced on 8 September 2026.
Under the agreement, Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore)’s expertise in elevators and building systems will be combined with QuikBot’s QuikSync platform, the companies said. QuikSync is designed to let autonomous systems securely identify themselves, authenticate, obtain permissions and interact with building infrastructure under defined safety and operational policies.
QuikBot has named Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) a Strategic Founding Infrastructure Partner for its Trust Infrastructure for Physical AI initiative, in recognition of what the company described as its early commitment to the emerging category.
The two companies said their goal is to enable existing and future buildings to become “Physical AI Ready Buildings,” in which robots and other autonomous systems can operate safely, securely and responsibly across elevators and connected building environments.
As robots, autonomous vehicles and other Physical AI systems grow more common, their movement through buildings remains constrained by fragmented systems, proprietary integrations and the lack of a shared trust and permission layer, the companies said.
A robot capable of autonomous navigation still needs permission to enter a building, access secured areas, call an elevator and move between floors, all without compromising building safety, cybersecurity or operational control, according to the announcement.
QuikSync aims to close that gap by providing identity, authentication, permissions, runtime governance, secure orchestration, and operational traceability across autonomous systems and building infrastructure, the companies said.
Through the partnership, QuikSync will be integrated with Mitsubishi’s elevators and building systems so that approved autonomous systems can interact with physical infrastructure within defined safety, security and governance requirements.
Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) will retain full and final authority over the safety, integrity and operation of its elevators and building systems, with any technical activity affecting them subject to the company’s prior review and written approval, as both companies confirmed.
The collaboration has already moved beyond the conceptual stage. QuikSync is supporting an operational deployment in a residential environment in Singapore, where an autonomous cleaning robot from an independent manufacturer interacts with building infrastructure under established permissions and operational controls, according to the companies.
Building on this deployment, the companies intend to pursue further joint pilots, reference deployments and customer applications across Singapore. Potential use cases cited include delivery, cleaning, security, inspection, healthcare and other autonomous systems requiring safe access to elevators and connected building infrastructure.
The partnership will follow an open interoperability approach, the companies said, allowing QuikSync to support autonomous systems from multiple manufacturers rather than requiring building owners to commit to a single robot provider.
As part of the agreement, Mitsubishi Elevator (Singapore) and QuikBot plan to jointly define technical requirements, integration architecture and secure interfaces between QuikSync and Mitsubishi’s elevator and building systems.
The companies also intend to explore joint testing, customer deployments, go-to-market activities, industry education and contributions towards future standards for Physical AI infrastructure, according to the announcement.
The collaboration will begin with buildings in Singapore, with the companies envisioning that trusted infrastructure could eventually support autonomous operations across building portfolios, campuses and districts, subject to separate agreements and the successful completion of each phase.
