Singapore – Tech giant Meta has recently named Nicole Tan as the new country director for Singapore, effective 02 June 2025.

Tan boasts more than 25 years of extensive experience in advertising, communications, and technology. For the past nine years, she served as the company’s country director for Malaysia, responsible for establishing and scaling its operations in the country.

With her new role, Tan will work together with businesses, agencies, creators, and communities to utilise artificial intelligence and develop new opportunities. This role will also see her driving digital transformation, fostering innovation, and supporting the flourishing digital economy of Singapore.

In a recently published LinkedIn post, Benjamin Joe, vice president at Meta, expressed his confidence for Tan. He said, “This marks an exhilarating new chapter in our mission to drive growth, innovation, and digital empowerment in this dynamic and vibrant country…I am confident that Nicole is positioned well to propel our business forward in Singapore.”

“We are excited to welcome Nicole to Singapore and look forward to continuing our support for the ecosystem through innovation, partnership, and responsible growth,” he added.

Speaking about her appointment, Tan shared, “It’s been a privilege to be part of Meta’s journey in Malaysia, and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved together. I’m excited to carry those learnings forward into my time in Singapore, and as we continue to support the growth of Southeast Asia’s digital economy.”

“Singapore is a vibrant hub of innovation, creativity, and collaboration, and I look forward to working with our talented team and valued partners to support local businesses, creators, and communities through the power of technology,” said Tan in her LinkedIn post.
