Singapore – Global cybersecurity and compliance firm Proofpoint has recently announced that it has appointed industry veteran Nelson Soon as the company’s new vice president of channels and alliances for Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ).
Soon is set to lead the company’s channel and alliance operations across the APJ theatre. This move places emphasis on Proofpoint’s commitment to its channel business and investment in the growth of its partner ecosystem in the region.
In this position, he brings extensive experience working in IT and cybersecurity, having previously served in senior channel leadership roles at Imperva, now acquired by Thales. Also included in this list where he managed the same position are Gigamon, Extreme Networks, Ixia, and Agilent Technologies.
Talking about the opportunity, Soon expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “Proofpoint is the trusted cybersecurity partner to some of the world’s most respected companies and is committed to its channel go-to-market strategy in APJ, giving us an exceptional opportunity for growth.”
