Indonesia – Telecommunications provider Indosat Ooredoo Hutchison has recently unveiled a new digital solution powered by artificial intelligence. This initiative is designed to enable retail businesses to maximise their business revenues as well as elevate customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Called NEXTretail, the said solution uses AI and intelligent analytics to help retailers gain better insights into customer needs. It further offers real-time personalisation, creates more targeted customer loyalty programs, and enhances the shopping experience.

The NEXTretail offering features solutions like “Smart Digital Ads,” which allow retailers to create personalised and targeted digital ad campaigns based on customer preferences and behaviour.

According to the firm, these ads can increase customer engagement by 30%, conversion rates by 25%, and ad ROI by 20%.

Also, part of the package includes an AI-based chatbot that reduces response times and cuts customer service opex. This also comes with a “Smart Cashier” system that accelerates the payment process by up to 40% and decreases manual errors by 30%.

Additionally, a CCTV surveillance system that uses AI for anomaly detection and prevention of theft and fraud is also among the solutions featured in this offering. In their recent statement, the firm also said that this can reduce theft and fraud incidents by up to 50%, increase early detection of threats that could cause losses by 30%, and lower security-related costs by 20%.”

Commenting about the launch, Muhammad Buldansyah, director and chief business officer at Indosat, said, “The retail world continues to evolve dynamically, with customer expectations constantly rising.
