Singapore – HubSpot has appointed Megan Hughes as managing director and vice president of sales for its Japan, Asia Pacific and India (JAPAC) operations. The appointment marks a key step in the company’s plans to strengthen its presence and accelerate business expansion across the region.

In her new capacity, Megan will oversee HubSpot’s commercial strategy, sales performance, and regional operations spanning markets such as Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and India. She will work with local and global teams to advance HubSpot’s mission of supporting the growth of over 28,000 scaling businesses in the region.

Megan brings more than 25 years of experience in the technology industry. During her four-year tenure as country lead and senior director of sales for HubSpot in Australia and New Zealand, she led high-performing teams and supported the establishment of the company’s first local data centre. She also contributed to major partnerships and customer success initiatives, supporting organisations including MYOB, HungryHungry and Global Schools Foundation.

“Megan has transformed our ANZ business, building a customer-first culture where teams deliver real impact,” David Cohen, chief sales officer at HubSpot, commented.

He added, “Her proven track record and commitment to our cultural values make her the ideal leader to drive our growth plans across the entire JAPAC region.”

Before joining HubSpot, Megan held senior regional roles at technology firms such as Hootsuite and LogMeIn, where she oversaw sales and marketing operations. Her experience managing diverse markets and navigating complex business environments positions her to guide HubSpot’s next phase of regional growth.

“This role represents the perfect intersection of my passion for developing high-performing teams where everyone belongs and thrives while creating real impact for the customers we serve through technology,” Megan shared.

She added, “The JAPAC market is at an exciting inflexion point, and I’m honoured to lead our growth efforts as we support more scaling companies across the region in achieving their ambitions.”

The appointment comes amid increasing demand for integrated digital solutions in the region. Recent HubSpot data suggests that businesses with unified systems are significantly more likely to outperform their peers, though many still face challenges related to technology integration.

In Megan’s new role, she will focus on helping organisations address these issues through HubSpot’s AI-enabled customer platform, designed to streamline collaboration across marketing, sales and service teams.

The global customer relationship management (CRM) industry continues to expand rapidly, with Asia Pacific projected to be its fastest-growing region by 2030. Megan, who is based in Sydney, will work closely with HubSpot’s global leadership to implement the company’s strategy and reinforce its commitment to supporting business growth throughout JAPAC.
