Fusion5 names Deepak Nangia as new group CEO to support growth across ANZ

Auckland, New Zealand – Australasian technology and services provider Fusion5 has appointed Deepak Nangia as its group chief executive officer, marking a leadership shift aimed at supporting the company’s next stage of expansion.

Deepak joins the organisation with extensive experience in the IT and professional services sectors, following senior roles at Satyam, Capgemini and EY. His background spans business applications, managed services, data and integration, AI, commerce, and transformation advisory work.

Fusion5’s leadership expects the new appointment to strengthen the company’s capabilities in both established and emerging service areas, with ambitions to deepen its presence locally and across wider regional markets.

“Deepak brings significant knowledge and experience in these growth areas, both locally and in Asia, which will be beneficial to us as we grow our structure to support a much larger business,” Rebecca Tohill, executive chair at Fusion5, commented.

She added, “We believe the market potential locally and further abroad is enormous, both in our traditional focus areas of business applications, and in our high growth areas.”

Deepak commenced his role in late October. Based in Sydney, he will divide his time between the company’s offices in Australia and New Zealand as he oversees Fusion5’s operational and strategic direction.

“Fusion5 has a remarkable reputation and I’m truly delighted to join the Fusion5 family,” Deepak shared.

He added, “It’s clear that the strong foundations it has built are the result of years of hard work, commitment, and high standards set by every member of the Fusion5 team. That foundation is exactly why I’m here and excited to lead Fusion5 into its next era of growth.”

Fusion5 provides organisations with support across business applications, cloud technologies, infrastructure and AI. The company works with clients to align technology, people, and processes, aiming to improve performance and enable long-term growth.

The company focuses on delivering measurable outcomes that enhance productivity and operational resilience in an increasingly digital environment.
