Alipay+ integrates Grab ride-hailing services across Southeast Asia via Voyager AI

Singapore — Alipay+, Ant International’s global wallet gateway, has integrated Grab’s ride-hailing services into Alipay+ Voyager, its in-app AI travel assistant.

The move enables international users to book local rides in Southeast Asia directly from their digital wallets without the need for an additional app. This integration expands on an existing partnership formed in 2023, when Alipay+ first enabled consumers to make payments on the Grab app using their home e-wallets.

With this latest development, users can now access Grab’s transport services directly within Alipay+ Voyager, simplifying the travel experience across the region.

Alipay+ Voyager, launched in mid-2025, is already available on Alipay (Chinese mainland), AlipayHK (Hong Kong SAR, China) and GCash (the Philippines), with further rollouts to additional partners planned later this year.

“With Southeast Asia growing in popularity as a travel destination, making Grab’s services directly available within Alipay+ partner apps offers users the most comprehensive and trusted local transportation across the region,” Scarlett Xing, general manager of Alipay+ travel solutions at Ant International, explained.

Scarlett adds that Alipay+ Voyager will continue to expand the company’s ecosystem for essential travel services, connecting more partners with mobile-savvy travellers.

Samir Kumar, head of mobility at Grab, shared how the company is excited to strengthen the partnership with Alipay+ Voyager, enabling safer and more reliable ride-hailing services for travellers in Southeast Asia.

“This collaboration underscores our shared commitment to enhancing travel experience and providing greater convenience for millions of users,” Samir said.

Travellers visiting any of the eight Southeast Asian markets where Grab operates – Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia and Myanmar – will be able to arrange transport seamlessly within the same ecosystem.

The integration is designed to streamline the customer journey, offering mobile-savvy travellers greater convenience while supporting regional travel infrastructure through a unified digital platform.

Alipay+ connects 36 partner payment apps with more than 1.7 billion users worldwide and over 100 million merchants across 70 markets, while also developing digital services such as rewards, in-app tax refunds and Alipay+ Voyager.
