Paydibs introduces e-commerce, mini POS solutions, advancing digital adoption for Malaysian MSMEs

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Paydibs Sdn Bhd, a Malaysia-based merchant-focused payment gateway, has launched two new digital solutions aimed at supporting MSMEs in adopting digital commerce tools.

The initiative aligns with the company’s broader objective of improving access to affordable and practical payment and business solutions across Malaysia.

The new offerings comprise Nexus, an integrated e-commerce platform designed to simplify online selling, and a mini POS function embedded within the Paydibs Pay application to digitise in-store operations. Together, the solutions enable merchants to manage sales, operations and payments across online and physical channels through a single ecosystem.

“True inclusion means equipping every Malaysian business, from single-stall hawkers to growing retail chains, with simple, affordable digital tools that remove barriers to growth,” Tee Kean Kang, chief executive officer of Paydibs, stated.

“By combining Nexus e-commerce and our new mini POS, we are delivering innovative payment solutions that empower MSMEs to manage operations and receive payments seamlessly across all channels.”

Malaysia has more than 1.1 million registered MSMEs, accounting for almost 97% of all businesses nationwide. Despite their economic importance, many continue to face challenges in digital adoption due to cost, complexity, and limited access to suitable technology, particularly among smaller and underserved operators.

Nexus is designed to lower these barriers by providing a simplified route to online commerce. Merchants are required only to submit essential information such as product details, pricing and business name, after which Paydibs manages storefront setup and payment integration. Ongoing onboarding support is also provided, allowing merchants to focus on sales while transaction infrastructure and compliance are handled centrally.

Complementing its online capabilities, Paydibs has introduced a mini POS feature within the Paydibs Pay app, enabling compatible Android smart terminals to function as all-in-one business devices. The solution allows merchants to manage orders, products and payments on a single platform, reducing reliance on separate POS hardware and lowering upfront costs, particularly for food and beverage and retail businesses.

Transaction data is consolidated into centralised dashboards, offering real-time visibility into sales performance and operational activity. This supports faster service, simplified reconciliation and more informed inventory planning.

Through the launch of Nexus and the mini POS solution, Paydibs aims to reduce digital barriers and support Malaysian MSMEs in operating and scaling within an increasingly digital economy.
