Salesforce names Paul Carvouni as senior vice president and general manager for ASEAN

Singapore – Salesforce has appointed Paul Carvouni as senior vice president and general manager for the ASEAN region, marking a leadership move aimed at strengthening the company’s regional operations and growth strategy.

In this role, Paul will oversee Salesforce’s business across Southeast Asia, with responsibility for sales execution, operational performance, and regional expansion.

The appointment comes as Salesforce continues to invest in ASEAN, a region seen as a significant long-term growth market for enterprise technology and AI. Paul will be tasked with supporting customers across multiple industries as they adopt advanced digital and AI-driven capabilities, while further developing Salesforce’s regional footprint.

“Paul possesses the exceptional pedigree and deep industry experience necessary to guide our customers as they leverage agentic AI to transform their businesses,” Arun Kumar Parameswaran, executive vice president & managing director of South Asia at Salesforce, stated.

“We have tremendous confidence in his ability to lead our ASEAN team and accelerate the success of our customers in becoming the intelligent, adaptive Agentic Enterprises of the future.”

Paul brings more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector, having held senior leadership positions at multinational companies including Microsoft and Riverbed Technology.

His career has spanned Asia Pacific and ASEAN markets, where he has led large-scale teams, managed complex regional operations, and driven sustained commercial growth.

“I am incredibly excited to lead Salesforce’s commitment to the ASEAN region. The AI revolution presents an immense opportunity for impact across every country, industry, and segment, from SMBs to large-scale enterprise & public sector organisations,” Paul shared.

He added, “I look forward to working alongside our talented team and extensive partner ecosystem to deliver the trusted AI, data, and CRM solutions that will  fuel ASEAN’s next wave of innovation and growth.”

Salesforce has been expanding its presence across Southeast Asia, with offices in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia, and a new office in the Philippines was launched in October 2025.

The company has also continued to localise its technology offerings to better serve customers in the region. This includes support for multiple ASEAN languages across its AI-enabled services, as Abraham Cuevas, regional vice president and country manager for Salesforce Philippines, highlighted, as the company supports AI initiatives across the country.

With his appointment, Salesforce aims to further consolidate its leadership in ASEAN by aligning regional strategy with local market needs, strengthening customer engagement, and supporting organisations as they scale their digital capabilities.
