Coins.ph names Amira Alawi as global marketing director to drive international growth

Manila, Philippines – Coins.ph, a leading digital finance platform in the Philippines, has appointed Amira Alawi as global marketing director to oversee the company’s international growth and brand expansion through the use of emerging digital technologies.

In her new role, Amira will oversee the integration of Coins.ph’s brand strategy, partnerships, and user growth across multiple regions. She will also lead the launch of Coins.xyz, a new international platform designed to support cross-border payments, decentralised finance (DeFi) access, and Web3 onboarding tools tailored to emerging economies.

The appointment also marks a pivotal stage in Coins.ph’s strategy to scale its blockchain-based financial services and promote broader access to decentralised technologies. Under Amira’s leadership, the company plans to strengthen its presence in several international markets, including Thailand, Australia, Brazil, and Mauritius, while also exploring opportunities across the Middle East and North Africa.

“Coins.ph has earned the trust of millions across the Philippines–and now we have the opportunity to bring that trust and access to the world,” Amira commented.

She added, “Our goal is to empower small businesses, creators, and everyday users to participate fully in the digital economy. This is about building pathways for financial inclusion at a global scale.”

As part of its expansion efforts, Coins.ph will leverage blockchain, DeFi, and Web3 technologies to enhance cross-border payments and promote financial inclusion. This is where Coins.xyz will serve as a global platform and foundation for these efforts, offering users tools for faster international transactions, secure access to DeFi services, and easier onboarding to digital asset ecosystems.

“APAC isn’t just a region—it’s proof that blockchain can go mainstream,” Amira shared.

“This is where fintech and culture meet, where innovation grows alongside trust and clear regulation. That balance between creativity and compliance is what makes real adoption possible.”

Amira will lead the company’s marketing and partnership initiatives across multiple regions, with a focus on positioning Coins.ph as a trusted player in the global digital finance sector. Her priorities include developing technology-driven brand campaigns, forming partnerships with fintech and DeFi innovators, and ensuring compliance and security standards are maintained as the company scales.

By combining blockchain innovation with its experience in inclusive finance, Coins.ph aims to expand responsibly and deliver digital solutions that make global participation in the financial ecosystem more secure, transparent, and accessible.
