Singapore – Agoda has expanded its AI Assistant to users across 21 markets, allowing travellers to plan trips, compare travel options and make bookings through conversations in its mobile app.
The digital travel platform first tested the feature in September 2026 before extending access to users across the markets. The assistant combines conversational trip planning with access to Agoda’s inventory of more than six million accommodation options, flights, tours, attractions and other travel services.
The feature is designed to help travellers manage different stages of trip planning without switching between multiple applications and websites. Users can explore destinations, compare options, check prices and availability, and proceed with bookings through Agoda.
The assistant also retains users’ preferences and trip details as plans develop. For example, travellers can request help organising a five-day family trip to Osaka, compare neighbourhoods, explore restaurants and attractions, and search for available flights and accommodation for their intended dates.
A trip planner canvas brings together upcoming bookings, places users want to visit and other itinerary details. Travellers can update their plans through conversation or by selecting suggested options, while keeping previous decisions and itinerary information in view.
Agoda said early beta findings indicate that users of the AI Assistant are more likely to book multiple travel products as part of a connected trip, including accommodation, flights, attraction tickets and tours.
The assistant also incorporates web search to provide current online information alongside Agoda’s available travel inventory.
Its conversational capabilities are powered by OpenAI models. For restaurants and points of interest, the assistant uses Gemini with Google Maps Grounding to retrieve information from Google Maps, including ratings, photos, opening hours and locations.
“Travel planning today is fragmented. People jump between apps, tabs, messages, and spreadsheets just to organise a single trip,” said Omri Morgenshtern, Chief Executive Officer at Agoda.
“With Agoda’s AI Assistant, we’re changing that. We’re giving travellers a smart companion that understands their preferences and trip context and adapts to their needs. Our goal is to remove the repetitive work from travel planning, so travellers can make inspired decisions with more confidence,” Morgenshtern continued.
Agoda’s mobile app provides access to more than six million holiday properties, over 130,000 flight routes and more than 300,000 activities. The AI Assistant is available through the platform’s mobile app.
