Singapore – SEON has partnered with payments platform Yuno to make its fraud prevention and identity verification tools available to Yuno’s customers worldwide.
The arrangement gives enterprise merchants, banks and wallets on Yuno direct access to SEON’s capabilities through the same infrastructure they already use to manage payments, according to the companies.
Yuno describes itself as an AI-native intelligence system for global payments and financial services. It connects businesses to more than 1,000 payment methods across 190 countries through a single integration, the company says.
Its vendor-agnostic model also allows customers to choose the fraud and risk providers that best fit their needs.
SEON, which describes itself as an AI command centre for fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance, says its platform evaluates risk across the full customer journey. It draws on more than 1,100 real-time data signals spanning digital footprint, device intelligence and behavioural data from ongoing account activity.
The partnership targets a gap the companies say persists in global payments. Orchestration allows payments infrastructure to scale quickly, but fraud prevention often remains fragmented across markets and providers.
That fragmentation creates exposure for merchants expanding internationally, as fraud patterns change by geography, payment method and customer behaviour.
SEON’s Asia-Pacific leadership framed the partnership around that challenge. “Merchants scaling internationally face fraud patterns that vary by market, payment method and customer behavior,” said Troy Nyi Nyi, SVP and GM, APAC, SEON.
“Partnering with Yuno gives the businesses on their platform access to fraud prevention and identity verification that works across all of those dimensions without building a separate integration,” he continued.
Yuno’s leadership, meanwhile, tied the move to the pace of international expansion.“As businesses expand globally and want to improve their capabilities, their fraud and risk infrastructure needs to scale just as quickly as their payments infrastructure,” said Mauricio Schwartzmann, Chief Financial Services Officer, Yuno.
“Our partnership with SEON gives customers a powerful option for managing fraud and identity verification across markets, all this enabled quickly through the same infrastructure they already use to manage their payments,” Schwartzmann concluded.
