Hong Kong – AsiaPay has launched an all-in-one card tokenisation service designed to standardise digital card payments across Asia-Pacific, supporting seven international card brands.
Integrated into the company’s PayDollar payment platform, the service replaces sensitive card details with unique encrypted tokens. AsiaPay said the approach is designed to help merchants protect payment data, reduce fraud risks and simplify digital transactions across eCommerce, mobile applications and recurring payments.
The service provides merchants with a single API for card tokenisation across different payment methods and markets. AsiaPay said this can help businesses streamline payment integration, improve transaction success rates and reduce checkout drop-offs.
The solution supports Visa, Mastercard, American Express, UnionPay, JCB, Discover and Diners Club through a single interface. It can also be deployed across different acquirers in 12 Asian markets in parallel.
Other features include support for online and mobile transactions through a unified tokenisation system, as well as tokenised one-click payments intended to simplify the checkout process.
The service is designed to reduce the need for merchants to handle or store sensitive card information. AsiaPay said it supports PCI-DSS and PCI-3DS security standards and is certified for Visa Token Service (VTS) and Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES).
