Philippines — AsiaPay has partnered with Philippine insurer PGA Insurance to streamline online payments for customers purchasing insurance through the company’s website and mobile devices.

Under the partnership, PGA Insurance’s online booking engine has been integrated with AsiaPay’s PesoPay payment gateway, enabling policyholders to make upfront payments through an automated payment process.

Customers can use cards, e-wallets, internet banking and instalment options when purchasing insurance online. The integration is also intended to provide a faster checkout process across web-connected devices.

AsiaPay said the partnership brings its multi-channel digital payment solutions to PGA Insurance, while allowing the insurer to consolidate its transaction processes through a unified system.

The companies said the integration is expected to support PGA Insurance’s online sales and customer service operations, including payment validation, reconciliation and dispute management.

Michael Emaas, Associate Director of AsiaPay, said, “This integration will help expand online sales share and boost overall insurance turnover, while saving significant labor costs for PGA Insurance. Operationally, the unified dashboard allows instant validation of order payment details without logging into multiple consoles, and customers can quickly verify their orders—resulting in greater efficiency in customer service and collections.”

Anthony G. Sy, President of PGA Insurance, said, “As we accelerate our digital transformation, a reliable payment gateway is essential. AsiaPay stood out for their deep understanding of the Philippine market and their ability to provide a comprehensive, unified payment solution that consolidates all our transaction pipelines into one dashboard.”

“This not only simplifies reconciliation and dispute management for our team but also gives our policyholders a faster, more transparent payment experience. AsiaPay’s expertise and tailored approach made them the ideal partner for us,” he continued.

AsiaPay has operated as a digital payment service and technology provider in Asia for more than 26 years and has served merchants in the Philippines for more than 19 years. The company provides payment solutions for banks and merchants across multiple industries.
