Hong Kong — AsiaPay has launched InsertPass, a digital pass solution that allows merchants to create, deliver and manage digital passes and vouchers for customers using Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
The Hong Kong-based payments technology company said InsertPass is designed to help businesses offer customers a more convenient way to store and access digital passes on their smartphones.
Through mobile websites and applications, merchants can deliver passes directly to customers, who can then add them to their mobile wallets. The solution can be used for vouchers, coupons, membership cards, loyalty and rewards programmes, transit passes, admission tickets and gift cards.
InsertPass also allows merchants to customise pass designs with their own logos, colours, layouts and content, enabling businesses to align digital passes with their branding and marketing campaigns.
AsiaPay said the solution is intended for a range of industries and use cases, including promotional offers, marketing campaigns, loyalty programmes, transport and admission to attractions, events and entertainment venues.
The launch reflects growing use of digital wallets as consumers increasingly use smartphones to store cards, tickets, memberships, coupons and rewards.
According to AsiaPay, InsertPass gives merchants a way to create and distribute digital passes while providing customers with easier access to them through mobile wallets. The company also said the solution can help businesses maintain brand visibility and engage customers when passes are accessed or redeemed.
