Manila, Philippines – Southeast Asian payments infrastructure company Xendit has announced the integration of Philippine alternative payments provider Dragonpay into its business, formalising a move that expands payment capabilities for merchants in the Philippines and across the region.
The announcement builds on a strategic partnership that began in August 2021, when Xendit made an investment in Dragonpay. The integration combines Dragonpay’s local payments network with Xendit’s regional payments infrastructure, enabling Dragonpay merchants to access a broader range of payment services.
Dragonpay’s 905 merchants will now be able to use Xendit’s platform, which offers more than 100 payment methods, as well as payouts, cross-border payments and financing services. According to the companies, the integration is intended to help businesses streamline payment operations, support customers outside the Philippines and benefit from continued investments in platform development and security.
Dragonpay currently works with 44 partners, including banks, non-bank financial institutions, e-wallets and over-the-counter payment providers. The companies said they will continue supporting existing merchants while accelerating product development and innovation.
The integration comes as the Philippines continues to expand its digital economy, supported by initiatives from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to increase digital payment adoption nationwide. The companies said combining Dragonpay’s domestic payments network with Xendit’s regional infrastructure is expected to help merchants address changing payment preferences and support cross-border business growth.
Founded in 2010, Dragonpay introduced alternative digital payment options in the Philippines, allowing consumers—including those without bank accounts or credit cards—to make online transactions through online banking, e-wallets and over-the-counter payment channels at banks, convenience stores and remittance outlets.

Dragonpay’s integration follows Xendit’s expansion across Southeast Asia, including its entry into Thailand in 2024 and the full acquisition of Malaysia-based Payex in 2025. Xendit now operates in Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Hong Kong.
