Singapore – Fortinet has appointed Luca Simonelli as Senior Vice President for Asia Pacific, tasking the cybersecurity executive with leading the company’s regional sales organisation and overseeing operations across Japan, North Asia, and South Asia, which includes Southeast Asia, India and SAARC, Australia, and New Zealand.
Based in Singapore, Simonelli will be responsible for driving Fortinet’s regional strategy, strengthening relationships with customers and partners, and supporting the company’s growth across the Asia-Pacific market.
Simonelli brings more than 30 years of experience in the technology sector, with expertise spanning cybersecurity, networking, secure access service edge (SASE), cloud security, and managed services. Before rejoining Fortinet, he held a senior leadership position at GCX Managed Services. He previously spent nearly eight years at Fortinet, where he led the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) business.
According to Fortinet, Simonelli has built and managed technology teams across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific throughout his career.

Simonelli holds a master’s degree in computer science from the University of Milan and is based in Singapore.
