United States – 2X has acquired Knownwell, an AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS) platform focused on agentic AI engineering, commercial intelligence, and go-to-market (GTM) systems, as the company seeks to expand its capabilities across B2B marketing, sales, and customer success.
The deal, announced on June 10, values the combined company at more than $400 million. The acquisition is intended to support 2X’s strategy of combining human expertise with AI-driven technologies to deliver GTM services for enterprise B2B organisations.
Knownwell brings a team of AI engineers, data scientists, and commercial intelligence specialists to 2X, along with technology designed to support AI-powered workflows and commercial operations. The company said the integration will form the foundation of its AI product layer, supporting delivery systems, workflows, and client engagement models.
As part of the transaction, Knownwell Founder and CEO David DeWolf has been appointed CEO of 2X. DeWolf has served on the 2X board of directors since 2023. Meanwhile, 2X Founder Dom Colasante will remain involved in the business and continue serving as a member of the leadership team.
“Dom and I are both excited about what this partnership unlocks. We believe that leadership is about building something meaningful together, and this moment reflects that spirit. Together, we’re ready to guide 2X with clarity, purpose, and a deep belief in what our teams can accomplish,” said DeWolf. “By unifying talent, technology, and intelligence into a single operating system, we are redefining how organisations scale and create value.”
The acquisition comes as B2B organisations increasingly seek to address challenges related to fragmented technology stacks, inconsistent data, and pressure to improve revenue performance. According to the companies, Knownwell’s technology will provide an intelligence layer designed to unify data, automate workflows, and support AI applications across marketing, sales, and customer success functions.
“The future is human + AI. A real GTM operating system brings everything together—the people, the tools, the workflows—so teams can move faster and get better results with less friction,” said Colasante. “The combination of Knownwell’s engineering capabilities with 2X’s global delivery engine creates a new category of GTM partner. We’re breaking new ground by bringing services and AI together across all of GTM. No one else is doing it this way, and it’s what organisations have been asking for.”
The combined company also plans to expand its customer success and account management capabilities through a commercial intelligence layer that analyses customer interactions beyond traditional software usage metrics. The system is designed to evaluate communications and project activity to help teams identify sentiment changes, emerging issues, and shifts in account health.
2X said the acquisition will expand its global footprint and technical capabilities as demand for AI-enabled GTM systems continues to grow worldwide.
