Taipei, Taiwan – Zettabyte, an AI data centre builder and operator, has announced that it has partnered with Taiwan’s data centre provider, Chief Telecom. This major expansion is aimed at setting new standards in artificial intelligence computing efficiency and sustainability, with the latter’s LY2 data centre’s significant power capacity.
By adopting liquid cooling across the entire floor, Zettabyte also aims to reduce the massive energy use of traditional air-cooled systems, enhancing its overall efficiency.
“Liquid cooling is a game-changer for AI data centres,” remarked Johnny Liu, president at Chief Telecom. According to him, the said initiative does not only lower cooling expenses but also decreases environmental impact.
Beyond these efforts, Zettabyte’s proprietary Zware GPU software also boosts computing efficiency by enabling AI workloads across multiple GPUs, servers, and data centers. This strategic approach lowers operational costs and enhances performance.
“Zware aligns performance with sustainability, making us the market leader in efficient AI data centres,” commented Kenneth Chung-Hou Tai, chairman at Zettabyte.
In terms of enhancing its capabilities, the company has further collaborated with original design manufacturer Wistron for customer AI-optimised hardware. This collaboration allows the two to integrate Wistron’s high-performance, energy-efficient configurations with Zettabyte’s liquid cooling at LY2, ensuring top-notch performance and efficiency.
Additionally, this positions Zettabyte to address the rising demand for sustainable, high-performance AI solutions. Through its expansion at LY2, the company also aspired to advancing Taiwan’s AI infrastructure, supporting sectors from semiconductors to smart cities.
