Singapore – Aiming to empower digital transformation, cloud communications firm Vonage has recently teamed up with multinational software company SAP SE. This collaboration is aimed at exploring the capabilities of generative AI and NextGen through the application programming interface platform of Vonage and Business AI of SAP.
Under the agreement, Vonage will provide SAP with access to its network APIs through its communications platform as a service, encompassing quality-on-demand (QoD), device location, and number verification.
This QoD API function will facilitate innovative real-time experiences for businesses, which include extended reality, autonomous vehicle support, and enhanced broadcast experiences, acting as a factor for enhanced user satisfaction.
SAP can also utilise Vonage’s device location together with number verification APIs to offer an authentication experience for its customers, thereby mitigating the risk of fraud. This capability also extends to Device Location APIs and IoT to further enhance asset tracking, track and trace, and fleet management by using network-based location data.
Looking ahead, Vonage has also expressed its intention to collaborate with SAP on innovations that combine generative AI and immersive services on the SAP business technology platform with Vonage’s network APIs. This initiative will be designed to help improve experiences with QoD, support sustainability through cutting-edge technologies, as well as improve data visualisation and augmented reality training.
Meanwhile, the use of immersive analytics will enable deeper insights from network data and enhance data-driven decision-making.
Talking about the endeavour, Michael Ameling, executive vice president and chief product officer at SAP Business Technology Platform, said, “We are delighted to partner with Vonage to revolutionise the use of SAP Business AI across the API landscape. This collaboration opens a world of possibilities for developers and businesses, empowering them to innovate and succeed like never before.”
“Our partnership is not just about cutting-edge generative AI innovation but about redefining the future. With network API integration and transfo, we bring a blend of expertise, next-generation technology, and a shared vision towards customer value,” Ameling further explained.
Seckin Arikan, head of business unit API at Vonage, also remarked, “We are excited to announce our partnership with SAP to power innovative new capabilities with communications and network APIs coupled with SAP Business AI.”
“With the increasing demands in customer expectations, businesses need to pivot their approach to designing and delivering more secure and enhanced engagement experiences for their customers and employees and become data-driven organisations set for, and they need to do it faster and easier than before,” continued Arikan.
He then concluded his statement, saying, “Together, we aim to make new capabilities available that can help developers create new applications for enterprises to reimagine their business, improve customer experiences, and create new communications and engagement capabilities.”
