Singapore – VAST Data has entered into a commercial partnership worth US$1.17b with CoreWeave to support the next phase of AI development. The agreement expands the companies’ existing collaboration and positions the VAST AI Operating System as the central data infrastructure within CoreWeave’s AI-focused cloud platform.
CoreWeave’s systems, powered by VAST’s AI Operating System, are designed to provide rapid access to large datasets and high-performance computing for both model training and inference workloads. The platform’s scalable architecture enables CoreWeave to implement VAST technology across multiple data centres, offering consistent reliability and operational efficiency across its customer base.
Renen Hallak, founder and CEO of VAST Data, shared that the partnership is a step towards building the data foundation for the most ambitious AI initiatives in the world.
“Our deep integration with CoreWeave is the result of a long-term commitment to working side by side at both the business and technical level,” Renen shared.
“By aligning our roadmaps, we are delivering an AI platform that organisations cannot find anywhere else in the market.”
Through the expanded agreement, both companies aim to enhance the performance of AI-driven data services across all layers of infrastructure. This collaboration is expected to streamline data management processes and accelerate innovation by improving data pipeline efficiency and enabling faster model development.
Brian Venturo, co-founder and chief strategy officer at CoreWeave, explained how VAST AI’s OS underpins key aspects of the process in designing and delivering AI cloud.
“This partnership enables us to deliver AI infrastructure that is the most performant, scalable, and cost-efficient in the market, while reinforcing the trust and reliability of a data platform that our customers depend on for the most demanding workloads.”
The partnership also supports the creation of a new class of data architecture that combines CoreWeave’s GPU-accelerated infrastructure with VAST’s operating system. This integration is intended to facilitate continuous training, real-time inference, and large-scale data processing, particularly for organisations engaged in demanding AI and analytics workloads.
By aligning their technical and commercial objectives, VAST Data and CoreWeave seek to deliver a high-performance AI platform that can scale effectively while maintaining the reliability and cost-efficiency required for mission-critical applications.
