Taipei, Taiwan– Global cybersecurity firm Trend Micro has recently announced its ongoing collaboration with computer hardware manufacturing firm Nvidia to develop new AI-driven cybersecurity tools designed to safeguard data centres where AI work happens.
Through these tools, the company aims to detect intruders and make sure that data is only seen by those authorised to use it. The said tools will be capable of running on Nividia’s chips and are set to be shown at the Computex conference in Taiwan, which began on Sunday, June 2.
Furthermore, Trend Micro will further concentrate on preventing hackers from snooping on data fed into AI systems. This approach stems from undisclosed corporate secrets or private customer data, which is acquired by users frequently interacting with chatbots by asking questions that may include sensitive information.
Talking about detection of intruders, Kevin Simzer, chief operating officer at Trend Micro, said, “They work their way into the enterprise, and they find this massive honeypot of information. They are often narrowing the scope of (a chatbot’s responses) by giving some very, very specific information.”
Meanwhile, speaking about the initiative, he further added, “That’s what we are going to be looking for and making sure that we see it first, and we can make sure that it doesn’t go any further than the people and applications authorised to see it.”
