Tealium expands APAC presence with AWS Singapore region launch for AI data governance

Singapore – Tealium has introduced its platform, on the AWS infrastructure, located in the Singapore region, marking a further step in its expansion across Asia-Pacific and supporting organisations that require stronger data governance, privacy safeguards and system performance as AI adoption increases.

Across the region, regulatory frameworks governing the collection, management and transfer of data are becoming more stringent. Businesses are facing growing expectations to demonstrate transparent and responsible handling of information while continuing to develop digital services and AI-driven capabilities.

By operating within the Singapore cloud region, Tealium aims to assist organisations in meeting local compliance obligations, including the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act, as well as emerging data protection standards across ASEAN economies. The regional deployment also supports lower latency and real-time data processing for analytics and customer engagement applications powered by AI.

“Trust is the currency of the AI era. As organisations across APAC accelerate their use of AI, they need absolute confidence in the data powering those decisions,” Jeff Lunsford, CEO of Tealium, commented.

“Launching on the AWS Singapore Region enables customers to better govern, control and activate their data locally—helping them meet regulatory obligations while still moving quickly with AI and digital innovation.”

The platform’s presence within the Singapore infrastructure allows enterprises to manage and activate customer information locally while maintaining control over governance and regulatory compliance. The deployment uses regional cloud resources to support large-scale performance and enables organisations to gather, process and utilise customer data securely within the same jurisdiction.

Through the integration with AWS infrastructure, businesses can operate analytics tools, AI models and customer engagement platforms using data streams that are processed and governed locally. This framework is intended to help organisations transition from early experimentation with AI technologies to more established operational deployments.

Tealium operates as part of the AWS Partner Network and holds several certifications within the AWS ecosystem, including the Generative AI Competency and the Financial Services Technology Competency. These certifications reflect demonstrated capabilities in building secure and scalable data solutions within the AWS environment.

“In today’s AI-driven economy, data and innovation are fundamental requirements for building a robust digital environment,” Peter Murray, APJ head of GTM, stated.

“With Tealium now live on the AWS Singapore Region, customers in the region have more choice in how they innovate with data and adopt agentic solutions, while meeting stringent data residency requirements.”

The company continues to expand its activities throughout APAC, supporting organisations in sectors such as retail, financial services, travel, healthcare and higher education. The expansion reflects increasing demand among enterprises in the region for platforms that help manage complex regulatory environments while enabling continued digital transformation.

Tealium’s deployment in the Singapore cloud region is available immediately and provides access to the company’s full set of customer data management functions.
