Manila, Philippines – GMA Network, a PH-based broadcast media production and distribution firm, has recently announced that it has chosen software development firm IPV Curator to manage its extensive media library and accelerate and automate its video production workflows.

As part of this collaboration, Curator’s intelligent media management software will streamline remote media workflows across teams and territories, optimising the project review and approval process, as well as generating enhanced media quality and productivity.

With IPV Curator, producers and editors can also gain enhanced capabilities to navigate through the company’s massive video archive, enabling quick access to existing media assets.

This deployment will further expedite its cloud transformation and facilitate seamless connectivity between Adobe creatives and their content libraries in the AWS cloud to achieve native cloud editing, remote collaboration, and intelligent media management.

Moreover, GMA will also harness AWS cloud storage to empower Curator users with native cloud editing and intelligent search that uses Amazon Rekognition. This initiative provides significant productivity gains and the ability to discover content and analytics from GMA’s media library rapidly.

Meanwhile, the company’s long-term partner TechTwist will serve as the project consultant and Tier 1 support for GMA, helping them in their mission to redefine its news production and broadcasting.

Felipe S. Yalong, EVP and CFO at GMA, commented, “I’m excited to begin our cloud transformation journey with IPV Curator and Amazon Web Services (AWS). Editors can efficiently work from anywhere on any bandwidth, providing robust, global production continuity and easy access to all our media clips in seconds.”

“This will be a game-changer for GMA. The curator will allow us to search, locate, reuse, and generate new revenue streams from our archived media,” he further continued.

Mark Hudson, CMO, at IPV, also shared, “IPV is proud to be selected by GMA Network to offer world-class media asset management capabilities. By utilising IPV Curator, GMA can revolutionise how media is created, stored, accessed, and edited to enjoy a fully connected media supply chain without any need for interruptive downloading of content.”

“GMA will enjoy more efficient, productive media operations, significantly enhanced collaboration, and access to the best-of-class cloud-based integrations,” Hudson concluded.
