Manila, Philippines – The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has formally launched eGovAI, integrating artificial intelligence capabilities into the eGovPH Super App.
The rollout, announced on 21 September 2026, introduces AI-powered tools such as secure identity verification, automated document processing, translation services, and intelligent assistance for citizens accessing government transactions.
At the centre of the launch is “Kuya AI,” a government AI assistant designed to provide real-time support to both citizens and government agencies. The assistant is intended to help Filipinos find information, navigate available services, and complete digital transactions without the multi-step processes that have traditionally characterised government dealings.
The initiative follows a directive from President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. instructed government agencies to accelerate digitalisation, cut red tape, and deploy technology to make public services faster and more accessible.
Filipinos have long faced lengthy transactions that often require submitting documents in person or coordinating across multiple offices.
DICT Secretary Henry R. Aguda framed the launch as part of a broader effort to modernise government service delivery.
“The eGovAI marked another important step in our continuing effort to make government work better for every Filipino. We are bringing AI into the eGovernment ecosystem not simply as a technological innovation, but as a tool to make public services more responsive, accessible, and efficient,” Aguda said.
For government agencies, eGovAI is designed to streamline routine processes and improve overall service delivery, according to DICT. The department positioned the launch as a continuation of its push towards a digital, secure, and people-centred government.
DICT said the initiative reflects its wider strategy of using technology to make public services work more effectively for citizens across the country.
