Singapore – Nozomi Networks has joined Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, an initiative focused on applying artificial intelligence to vulnerability discovery for operational technology (OT), Internet of Things (IoT), and cyber-physical systems (CPS), the company announced on July 20.
Project Glasswing brings together providers of critical infrastructure and software to explore how AI models can be used to identify and mitigate cybersecurity vulnerabilities before they are exploited. According to Anthropic, AI models such as Mythos are expected to improve the speed and scale of vulnerability discovery while supporting defensive cybersecurity efforts.
As part of the initiative, Nozomi Networks said it will collaborate with technology providers, partners, customers, and industry peers to address cybersecurity challenges specific to critical infrastructure environments.
The company noted that operational technology and critical infrastructure systems present distinct security considerations due to factors such as long equipment lifecycles, limited opportunities to apply software patches, and the potential for cyber incidents to have physical consequences. These sectors have therefore been identified as a key focus area for Project Glasswing.
Under the collaboration, Nozomi Networks will apply AI models to vulnerability discovery within its OT- and IoT-focused cybersecurity platform, contribute research insights to Anthropic, and share findings with the wider cybersecurity community.
The announcement comes as AI is increasingly being adopted to improve vulnerability discovery and cybersecurity operations. Anthropic said the initiative reflects the need for collaboration among technology providers, infrastructure operators, and security specialists to help ensure AI capabilities are applied safely and effectively in protecting critical infrastructure.
