NiCE appoints Nigel Lindsay-Smith to lead ANZ AI customer experience growth

Sydney, Australia – NiCE, a provider of AI-driven platforms designed to automate and enhance customer service operations, has appointed Nigel Lindsay-Smith as head of its Australia and New Zealand operations.

The move expands the company’s leadership structure in the region as organisations increasingly adopt AI technologies to modernise service delivery, integrate digital and voice interactions, and improve operational performance.

Nigel, who is currently the VP of Sales for ANZ, will oversee efforts to strengthen NiCE’s enterprise footprint across the ANZ market. His responsibilities include supporting organisations as they transition from fragmented service environments towards more integrated and automated customer engagement systems.

“The combination of Cognigy’s market-leading conversational AI with NiCE’s world-class CCaaS capabilities creates a powerful proposition for organisations looking to transform customer experience at scale,” Nigel shared.

“I’m energised by NiCE’s vision, the strength of the local and global teams, and the opportunity to deliver real value for customers across the region.”

A significant focus will involve enabling companies to utilise the combined capabilities of NiCE’s cloud-based contact centre platform alongside technology obtained through its acquisition of Cognigy, which provides conversational AI tools designed to deliver proactive and streamlined customer interactions.

Another priority will also include expanding NiCE’s network of partners throughout the region. Collaboration with systems integrators and technology partners is expected to support organisations undertaking customer experience transformation initiatives, to facilitate secure AI deployment, scale automation across service operations, and delivering measurable operational improvements.

Nigel has more than twenty years of experience in leadership roles spanning customer experience, enterprise software and marketing technology. Prior to joining NiCE, he served as senior vice president for Asia Pacific and Japan at LivePerson, where he led regional teams responsible for enterprise customer engagement and business growth. Earlier in his career, he also held senior positions at Adobe and Salesforce.

The appointment reflects NiCE’s ongoing investment in the ANZ market as businesses increasingly adopt AI-enabled platforms to enhance customer engagement, simplify operational processes and support long-term growth.
