Singapore – Neat, which positions itself as the industry’s first AI-native hardware and software platform for workplace collaboration, has appointed Sandeep Mehra as Senior Vice President & General Manager of International, handing the 20-year industry veteran responsibility for the video device company’s expansion across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia-Pacific.
Effective immediately, Mehra will lead market expansion, commercial execution and strategic partner ecosystems across the region, and will initially be based in London.
Prior to joining Neat, Mehra spent more than a decade at Cisco, where he held senior leadership roles spanning sales, engineering and go-to-market strategy.
Among his posts at Cisco, he served as Managing Director for APAC Collaboration Sales, Vice President of Customer Experience across ASEAN and Korea, and Global GM for Video Devices, a role based in Oslo through which he launched a suite of products covering work-from-home solutions and intelligent spaces.
Earlier in his career, Mehra co-founded India’s pioneering conferencing company, which was later acquired by Webex, before going on to take an executive leadership position at Moxtra.
“Sandeep is an absolute powerhouse in the collaboration space who brings an exceptional blend of entrepreneurial drive and large-scale enterprise execution,” said Javed Khan, CEO of Neat.
“Having worked closely with Sandeep in the past, I know firsthand that he is an incredibly impactful, hands-on leader. He knows what it takes to scale disruptors and global enterprise alike. I am thrilled to welcome him to Neat to lead our international revenue strategy during this crucial phase of growth,” Khan added.
For his part, Mehra pointed to Neat’s technology strategy as a key draw.
“Neat’s relentless focus on simple, open, and intelligent video technology has fundamentally shifted how world-class organisations collaborate,” said Sandeep Mehra, SVP & GM of International at Neat.
“Having spent my career at the intersection of hardware, software, and workplace experience, it’s clear that Neat is building the future of the market. I am thrilled to join at a moment of such incredible momentum and look forward to accelerating our footprint across international markets,” Mehra continued.
Beyond Mehra’s arrival, the appointment forms part of a broader reshuffle of Neat’s leadership bench following its record financial performance.
Martijn Blokland, who spent six years leading the company’s international revenue function, has transitioned into the newly created role of Senior Vice President of Global Operations & Strategy.
In that capacity, Blokland will oversee customer experience, global sales operations and enablement, order fulfilment, product evaluation, logistics and new product introduction.
Going forward, Mehra is set to work closely with both Blokland and Rick Hill, who was recently promoted to Senior Vice President & General Manager of Americas at Neat.
Rounding out the changes, Sherri Pipala has joined the executive leadership team as Vice President of Alliances and Business Development, a role in which she will spearhead strategic technology partnerships and ecosystem growth.
