Hexaware appoints Raghu Mocherla as senior vice president to strengthen digital and software capabilities

Navi Mumbai, India – Hexaware Technologies, a global provider of information technology services and solutions, recently named Raghu Mocherla as senior vice president for Digital & Software

He will oversee the cyber-physical software and systems portfolio within the company’s Digital and Software (D&S) business, with responsibility for strategic direction, service portfolio development, commercial expansion and customer delivery.

Raghu brings more than 25 years of experience in technology services, with a strong background in product engineering, research and development, and industrial operations. He has built and expanded large-scale businesses across multiple sectors, including manufacturing and engineering-led industries.

“I’m truly excited to lead Hexaware’s next wave of offers and growth in Cyber-Physical Software and Systems,” Raghu commented.

He added, “We have a phenomenal opportunity in front of us to position Hexaware as an end-to-end strategic technology services partner that can deliver AI-driven innovation, software solutions, and thought leadership with meaningful outcomes for our clients and the industry.”

Prior to joining Hexaware, Raghu spent over a decade at Capgemini, where he held senior leadership roles within the engineering and research and development services organisation in the Americas, managing profit and loss responsibilities and supporting industries such as automotive, aerospace, rail, industrial manufacturing, and defence.

The appointment comes as organisations are accelerating their integration of advanced software, AI, and connectivity into physical products and operational environments.

Hexaware’s Digital and Software unit is focused on supporting clients across cyber-physical platforms, intelligent systems at the network edge and AI-led systems engineering, with the aim of enabling smarter products, more efficient industrial processes and integrated digital workflows.

“Raghu brings a powerful combination of product engineering depth, industrial domain expertise, and a track record of scaling global businesses,” Sanjay Salunkhe, president and global head of Digital & Software services at Hexaware, stated.

He added, “His leadership will be central to sharpening our Digital and Software services strategy and taking this business to its next phase of growth.”

In his new capacity, Raghu will contribute to the expansion of Hexaware’s capabilities at the intersection of digital technologies and physical systems. He holds academic qualifications in computer science, engineering and business management.
