HCLSoftware plans to acquire Jaspersoft from Cloud Software Group

Noida, India –HCLSoftware, the enterprise software arm of HCLTech, has announced plans to acquire Jaspersoft, an embedded analytics and reporting business operated under Cloud Software Group.

The proposed transaction would see Jaspersoft integrated into HCLSoftware’s portfolio, subject to customary closing conditions. The acquisition is intended to strengthen HCLSoftware’s data and AI division, Actian, which has experienced sustained growth over the past five years alongside rising demand for enterprise data management capabilities, including metadata management, data cataloguing, and data governance.

By adding Jaspersoft’s analytics and reporting technologies, HCLSoftware aims to extend Actian’s offering into a more comprehensive data management and analytics stack, while broadening engagement with a global community of developers, data engineers, and architects building modern enterprise data platforms.

“As genAI adoption accelerates, our customers want business intelligence solutions that can deliver consistent analytics and reports that offer flexibility to fully own the analytics experience,” Marc Potter, CEO of Actian and portfolio general manager of HCLSoftware’s data & AI division, stated.

He added, “With Jaspersoft, Actian will provide seamless AI-powered embedded analytics, allowing high-volume pixel-perfect reports and interactive dashboards to be seamlessly integrated into customer-facing applications.”

Jaspersoft develops business intelligence and reporting software designed to support embedded analytics, pixel-accurate reporting, interactive dashboards, and advanced data visualisation. The company’s products are widely used in highly regulated sectors such as government, banking and financial services, where precise and consistent reporting is a core operational requirement.

“We believe HCLSoftware is a strong strategic owner for the business and look forward to Jaspersoft continuing to serve customers under HCLSoftware’s ownership,” Steven Schneider, general manager of analytics business unit at Cloud Software Group, commented.

He shared, “Jaspersoft has earned the trust of organisations worldwide through its embedded analytics capabilities.”

Through the transaction, HCLSoftware expects to enhance its ability to deliver integrated analytics that can be embedded directly into customer-facing applications, supporting large-scale reporting and self-service analytics use cases.

The combination is also positioned to address growing enterprise requirements for flexible analytics architectures alongside the adoption of  AI-driven data capabilities. The transaction is expected to complete within approximately six months of signing, subject to regulatory approvals and other standard closing conditions.
