Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Globe Teleservices Pte. Ltd. (GTS) has entered into a strategic collaboration with Maxis to enhance the security of messaging and voice traffic across the Malaysian operator’s network through the deployment of an integrated AI-driven firewall.
Under the partnership, both organisations will establish and implement firewall policies governing international messaging and voice traffic directed to the Maxis network.
GTS’s armour firewall solution uses AI and machine learning informed by aggregated global traffic patterns to detect and mitigate fraud in real time. The platform provides continuous monitoring and performance validation to prevent spam, grey route messaging, and large-scale fraudulent activity such as SIM farming.
“We are proud to work with Maxis to safeguard the messaging and voice channels at scale,” Ashutosh Agrawal, group chief executive officer of Globe Teleservices, commented.
“Our AI-enabled firewall combines intelligent threat detection with global delivery expertise to protect networks, enhancing customer experience, and value that is often lost to fraud and bypass.”
The initiative aims to improve network resilience and ensure consistent service reliability for Maxis subscribers by proactively addressing security risks and protecting legitimate communication channels.
“This partnership provides businesses with stronger delivery assurance and enables our mobile users a safer experience,” Prateek Pashine, chief enterprise business officer at Maxis, stated.
“Customer trust and experience are central to us, and this partnership with GTS reinforces our international message and voice defences with the deployment of AI-powered controls and continuous monitoring, ensuring messages are delivered quickly and securely.”
The collaboration supports Malaysia’s broader efforts to strengthen its digital infrastructure and promote secure, AI-enabled innovation, aligning with the cybersecurity and technology objectives set out in the 13th Malaysia Plan.
