Singapore – Fortinet, a computer and network security firm, has recently unveiled enhancements to its GenAI capabilities, introducing two new integrations within its FortiAI portfolio.
FortiAI is an AI-driven security assistant, offering GenAI-powered tools designed to assist, simplify, and automate the workflows of security analysts. Included in the recent upgrades to it are FortiAI for FortiNDR Cloud and FortiAI for Lacework FortiCNAPP.
The new FortiAI for FortiNDR Cloud allows threat hunters to easily access detections and insights related to their search queries. With this, security analysts can consult FortiAI to easily understand the FortiNDR Cloud coverage capabilities against new and emerging threats, attacker tactics and techniques, and specific vulnerabilities.
Said solution enhances search efficiency and enables threat hunters to better assess their defence capabilities against potential attackers.
Meanwhile, the FortiAI for Lacework FortiCNAPP is built to assist SOC teams in interpreting alerts more effectively, providing actionable guidance on remediation steps.
Through natural language queries, teams can also easily clarify the reason behind the alerts that are generated, understand the risk, such as how an attacker could compromise the system, gain step-by-step guidance on how to investigate and respond, and streamline the remediation of issues with syntactically correct code.
Furthermore, the expansion also reinforces the company’s commitment to AI innovation in cybersecurity, adding more GenAI integrations.
These offerings include (1) FortiAI for FortiAnalyzer that offers real-time threat analysis, prioritisation, and automated response; (2) FortiAI for FortiManager, providing more easily built network configuration scripts, performing troubleshooting, and automating remediation vulnerabilities and network issues; and (3) FortiAI for FortiSIEM, a solution offering contextual intelligence and recommendations for investigating and responding to security alerts.
Other integrations also encompass (4) FortiAI for FortiSOAR that guides and optimises threat investigations, remediation activities, and automates playbook creation; and lastly (5) FortiAI for FortiDLP, a solution aimed at summarising and contextualising data associated with observed high-risk activity.
John Maddison, chief marketing officer at Fortinet, said, “Our commitment to AI innovation is reflected in our expansion of generative AI, which now enhances seven different products across our portfolio. By integrating FortiAI in such a broad range of solutions, we’re equipping our customers with powerful, adaptive tools that transform how they manage and respond to cyberthreats.”
“As cyber risks continue to grow, we’ll continue to empower our customers with solutions that streamline security processes, improve decision-making, and bolster resilience against evolving threats,” he added.
