Singapore – Finnomena, a digital wealth management platform in Thailand, has recently teamed up with Google Cloud to jointly introduce an AI-driven capital markets information management solution. This initiative is designed to enhance the company’s investment services and cater to its rapidly growing user base.
With this solution, the company intends to accelerate and expand the delivery of financial market updates, particularly as it integrates more mutual funds and asset classes from both new and existing partners.
To achieve this, Finnomena implemented a custom AI-powered system using Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, BigQuery, and Cloud Run. As it is fully integrated with Google Workspace, the solution also features an agentic AI workflow that reviews partner emails in real time, identifying those containing critical information.
The system then sends summarised details and recommended actions to internal teams via Gmail and Google Chat. Once reviewed and validated by in-house financial experts, urgent updates like changes to fee structures, fund classes, or fund prospectuses are promptly shared with investors across relevant channels.
Furthermore, the AI solution is powered by Google’s Gemini 2.0 Flash model and is designed for high-volume, high-frequency tasks at scale.
Ensuring it maintains high levels of reliability and accuracy, model outputs further leverage Finnomena’s industry-specific internal knowledge base and third-party data from Morningstar. Since its deployment, the solution has accurately identified all crucial partner emails and has achieved a 90% accuracy rate in extracting and summarising key details in both Thai and English, thereby outperforming manual processes before final expert validation.
Kasin Suthammanas, chief strategy officer and co-founder at Finnomena, said, “At Finnomena, we pride ourselves on being a tech-driven company that empowers every individual to achieve their financial goals through access to trusted information and the best investment opportunities. In collaboration with Google Cloud, we’re transforming the way we deliver financial market updates and insights to stay ahead of the rapid growth in investors on our platform and their growing demand for diversified investment options.”
“With Google Cloud AI immensely boosting our capacity to synthesise and communicate high volumes of time-sensitive information, we’re well-positioned to expand beyond the 1,800 mutual funds we already offer, significantly increase our assets under management, and serve at least double our existing investor base in the near future – providing even greater choice without compromising on service quality,” Suthammanas further explained.
In addition to prioritising urgent updates from partners, said AI solution automatically stores its generated outputs and finalised investor communications in BigQuery. This particular approach facilitates compliance monitoring and allows Finnomena to track the solution’s accuracy over time.
At the same time, the archive is also being used to train the AI solution to further enhance its accuracy, and it can be analysed along with other datasets for deeper insights into areas like fund performance, market volatility, and investment themes to inform product and content development.
Supattra Siripongmongkol, chief operating officer at Finnomena Funds, also remarked, “In the past, our staff had to manually sift through more than 500 daily emails from 21 partners. Each member would then spend up to six hours extracting crucial details. With Vertex AI’s comprehensive model customisation capabilities, we’ve developed a semi-autonomous solution that’s multilingual and more reliable and performant than what other cloud providers could deliver.”
Supattra further noted, “After implementing Google Cloud AI with human-in-the-loop, we’re delivering accurate financial market updates and insights 75% faster. The next step is to apply the same technologies to streamline a broader range of processes, enabling our financial education and investment planning teams to provide more personalised services that address the unique needs of each customer.”
Meanwhile, Annop Siritikul, country director, Thailand at Google Cloud, commented, “As we’re seeing with Finnomena, enterprise AI agents are not just drivers of new efficiencies, but also they are force multipliers and growth enablers. Finnomena is serving as a prime example of how organisations in regulated industries can already take advantage of enterprise-grade data analytics and AI development platforms to build and deploy reliable real-world solutions that deliver tangible business value.”
“We look forward to supporting Finnomena as it continues to innovate with our industry-leading capabilities and advance its goal of democratising access to financial information and investment opportunities across Thailand,”
Finnomena offers investors a diverse range of mutual funds from its partner asset management firms. To ensure informed decision-making, it must relay crucial updates from partners, noting an effort that has historically been both time-consuming and resource intensive.
