Bangkok, Thailand – Charoen Pokphand Group (CP Group), True Corporation, and True Internet Data Centre (True IDC) have entered into a strategic partnership with Microsoft to accelerate Thailand’s digital transformation and strengthen the country’s position as a regional hub for AI and cloud innovation.
The collaboration combines CP Group’s diverse business network, True’s digital platforms, and True IDC’s cloud and data centre expertise with Microsoft’s global technological capabilities to support sustainable growth, enhance national competitiveness, and promote digital inclusion.
Under the agreement, True IDC will serve as one of the primary data centre partners supporting Microsoft’s cloud region in Thailand, which has been designed to meet the company’s international standards. The initiative aims to deliver low-latency and reliable cloud services while ensuring compliance with data residency requirements. The move reinforces Thailand’s role within the regional digital landscape and contributes to the development of a resilient and future-ready digital economy.
“This collaboration reflects CP Group’s vision to build a ‘learning and innovation ecosystem’ powered by AI and Cloud technologies, positioning Thailand for success in the digital age,” Suphachai Chearavanont, CEO of CP Group, commented.
“AI is not merely a technology; it is a catalyst for enhancing economic productivity, improving people’s quality of life, and expanding opportunities for Thais to access knowledge and future-ready skills.”
The partnership will focus on advancing AI and cloud innovation across industries and public sectors, co-developing market strategies to drive adoption, and expanding national digital infrastructure through True IDC’s facilities.
“By delivering trusted cloud platforms, deep cybersecurity expertise, and responsible AI practices, we are committed to empowering Thailand’s digital journey,” Mayank Wadhwa, president of Microsoft ASEAN, shared.
“Our partnership with CP Group and True creates a powerful synergy that will enhance Thailand’s competitiveness and drive a secure, inclusive, and sustainable digital future.”
In addition to bolstering AI and cloud capabilities, the collaboration will promote several national digital initiatives. These include strengthening digital trust through the exploration of an AI-powered Cloud Security Operations Centre to improve threat detection and response; expanding access to digital education and skills training for employees and communities; and building advanced AI and cloud infrastructure to underpin Thailand’s long-term competitiveness.
“Together, we are laying the foundation for a robust and sustainable digital ecosystem— one that enhances people’s quality of life, boosts economic competitiveness, and prepares Thailand for a future powered by technology and innovation,” Sigve Brekke, executive chair of telecommunications and digital business group of CP Group and group CEO of True Corporation, commented.
Through this partnership, CP Group, True, True IDC, and Microsoft aim to deliver innovation-led solutions that support local businesses, communities, and industries.
